Who is J.C. Green?

Who is J. c. Green?

Hi and thank you for visiting my sight.

I am J. C. Green. I've been a pianist and keyboardist sense the age of three. I started with a small antique piano that has been passed down through my mom's family sense the mid eighteen hundreds. My parents noticed that I could pick out and play songs it.

Noticing that I had a natural ear for music, my Dad came home with a beautiful antique upright piano for my sixth birthday. He and I immediately started lessons. Over the next ten years I would study under seven different teachers that had different music accreditations and backgrounds. I also took guitar and voice lessons from my third teacher.

I joined the high school band in the tenth grade playing trumpet during marching season and french horn during concert season.

After graduating high school, I took a break from music to persue my day job in metallurgy.

In 1985, Me and my two best friends decided to form a band. Tommy (Frank) G played drums and Richie "D" played bass (among other things). So, we got a guitarist.... then another and another and another. Seens there was an outbreak of front man syndrom those days. But we finally landed a guy who liked to share the spotlight and was a perfect fit. That lasted for about eight years. Then Tommy had to move on to take care of family and Richie landed a job as an over the road truck driver.

I was quickly invited to join an established band as a keyboardist and backing vocalist which I was fine with. I loved harmonizing and never have cared much for singing lead. As an already established band, they had a great following, and I was welcomed in like a long-lost friend. It was awesome! We fit together like precision gears.

But, as it is said "all good things must come to an end'.

After about eight or so years, a change in my day time job had my weekends taken away and I could no longer play out.

My better half soon noticed my withdrawal issues from music and bought me my first home recording system. Thanks to our friend U-Tube and the great home studio instructors, I was on my way. I also learned how easy it is to copy write music. I learned how to assign ISRA numbers and publish my music. Yes, there is a learning curve and I'm still "practicing" just as a doctor "practices" medicine.

After 55 years of playing, I'm still at it and have no intentions of stopping.  I've pretty much given up on being a real rock star. But not writing, recording and publishing music. I love doing it and as long as I have ideas and God blesses me with another and another day, I'll keep on.

On our birthday, God gives each of us a talent and we should never disrespect him by ignoring it.

Again, thank you for visiting my sight. I only ask you to give my music a listen. If you like it, shear it. If you don't, you'll never have to hear it again.

May God bless you.

Whatever you do,

have fun doing it!

and remember to always say your prayers.

J.C.
